What does Right to Information (RTI) mean?
 It includes the right to -
(i)inspect works, documents, records.
(ii)take notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records.
(iii)take certified samples of material.
(iv)

obtain information in form of printouts, diskettes, floppies, tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic mode or through printouts. [S.2(j)]

About RTI Portal 
Bringing Information to the citizens
Right to Information Act 2005 mandate timely response to citizen requests for government information. This attempts to provide a–
RTI Portal Gateway to the citizens for Quick search of information, web published by various departments in Government. 
Since, on-line uploading of the documents by various Union / State Governments/departments is in progress, only those departments have been listed, whose documents are either uploaded on this portal, or appropriate links have been set to their websites for RTI related information. Government Organizations can contact National Informatics Centre for User ID for uploading information pertaining to pro-active disclosures, and any other information, which may be of public interest.
